Proper nutrition is an integral part of the training regimen and a healthy lifestyle. Consuming protein, complex carbohydrates, vegetables and healthy fats, you will provide your body and mind with the right nutrients.
- Protein. Steve’s diet is rich in proteins; it does not contain a large number of carbohydrates. Proteins repair and build body tissues, including muscle ones. The protein contains the basic building blocks known as amino acids. Our body synthesizes all of them, except for nine amino acids, therefore these aminos are called essential. To maintain muscle growth, Steve consumes about 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. The main sources of protein for Steve are chicken, beef, and turkey.

It is recommended to give preference to unsaturated fats (contained in fish, some vegetable oils), instead of non-saturated, contained in meat, dairy products, etc. (but do not exclude them completely). Unsaturated fats have many beneficial effects: they are needed for the cardiovascular system, improve sleep and brain function. They also contribute to strengthening bones, which is very important for intensive training with iron.
Steve also takes sports supplements such as protein, omega-3, glutamine, BCAA, creatine, zinc, magnesium, etc.
