Like many other sportspersons, Steve was interested in physical exercises in childhood. This concernment was encouraged by his father, a school sports coach. However, this was not a drag to him, instead, he demonstrated a marked enthusiasm for the sports regime that prevailed in his house. His sports desire continued to grow. Being a secondary school pupil, he began to exercise with iron, combining it with gridiron. In a gym, Steve showed good strength, performing 320 lbs barbell bench press. Several years after the completion of his gridiron career, he completely devoted himself to the gym.

The sportsman has noted that much merit in his fitness career, the desire to pump up flawless physique and become stronger, were favored by the “The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding: The Bible of Bodybuilding” written by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The “Bible of Musclebuilding” became the foundation that helped Steve build terrific physique. His first rivalry was held in 2009. He got the victory there, which is extremely rare among amateurs. The next triumph in 2010 and receiving Pro Card were explained by the sportsman by emerged nuisances in his personal relationships: his marriage, which lasted four years, was ended. Endeavoring to cope with this problem, Steve devoted all his psychic energies to gym workouts, thereby making his physique unprecedented. He considers musclebuilders of the Golden Age of Bodybuilding as the main sources of inspiration. These sportsmen include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Serge Nubret, Frank Zane, Lee Labrada and Steve Reeves. As a child, he met Arnie personally, who finally “infected” the kid with “pumping iron”.

As of 2019, Steve is 34 years old. His height is ‎6’1” (183 cm), competitive weight is about 210 pounds. He has the status of a professional bodybuilder. For several years, Steve showed his followers in Instagram and Twitter that he married a gal he’d met while studying in college. However, the marriage of this couple began to gradually disintegrate. Eventually, the sportsman’s wife filed for divorce. This fact did not break the celebrity, on the contrary, he began to work on himself with even greater intensity.

In 2013, Steve began dating with the blonde Carlie Butler, who has a fairly popular video blog on YouTube called CarlieStylez. She has an amazing body that she successfully demonstrates in social networks and on her channel, appearing on the photo in hot swimsuits. But she was not rapturous of fitness as much as her boyfriend. Therefore, they had some different perceptions concerning the sense of life. This twosome broke up in 2015. But the man did not remain lonely for a long time. Since 2017, his girlfriend is Courtney Alexis King (@courtneykiing in Instagram). This couple is obsessed with fitness. Courtney was the finalist of the IFBB Bikini Olympia competition 2 times and won the 2016 Bikini Olympia.

Nutrition of Steve Cook: Healthy Prots, Carbs, and Fats

Proper nutrition is an integral part of the training regimen and a healthy lifestyle. Consuming protein, complex carbohydrates, veggies and healthy high-fat foods, you supply your body and mind with the necessary nutrients.

  • Protein. Steve’s diet is rich in proteins; it does not contain many carbohydrates. Proteins repair and build body tissues, including muscle ones. The protein contains the basic “adobes” known as amino acids. Our body synthesizes all of them, except for nine ones, therefore these aminos are called essential. To maintain muscle growth, Steve consumes about 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. The main sources of protein for Steve are chicken, beef, and turkey.
  • Carbohydrates. Three Steve’s meals out of six contain carbohydrates, such as potatoes and rice. Steve recommends consuming 30% carbohydrate from the daily norm 2-3 hours before training.
  • Fats. Steve does not forget about fats. The body also needs them. It’s better to eat mostly unsaturated fats (contained in fish, some plant oils), instead of non-saturated, which are found in red meat, milk, etc. Unsaturated fats have many beneficial effects: they are needed for the hearth, improve sleep and brain function. They also strengthen bone tissues, which is very important for intensive training with iron.

Steve also takes sports supplements such as protein, omega-3, glutamine, BCAA, creatine, zinc, magnesium, etc.

Steve Cook and steroids

Steve Cook claims natural. The sportsman has also never given his opinion on steroid drugs. There seem to be minimum additions in his size and volumes since his last days in high school. His face remained the same (the cheekbones did not increase). In addition, the athlete has a clean and natural skin without acne (acne is a common side effect of steroids, such as Anadrol and Turinabol). Therefore, we have no evidence that Steve Cook is a steroid user.
